The Team

Pathfynder is a cybersecurity company with offices in Washington, D.C. and Bozeman, Montana.

We are proud to share our collective expertise gained over decades serving in the US military, intelligence community, and cybersecurity space. Though we've shed our uniforms for the fabrics of the corporate world, our passion for protecting others from threats seen and unseen remains.

DJ FULLER | Chief Executive Officer
Operator. Creator of stuff. Traveler to faraway lands.

DJ is Pathfynder's guiding visionary and #1 storyteller.

Prior to joining Pathfynder, DJ was President of Prescient, a Global Risk Management and Intelligence Services firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. While at Prescient, DJ led a global restructuring and oversaw a significant period of growth that included: The acquisition of Prescient’s technology business, development of the firm’s cybersecurity practice, and significant growth in revenue and personnel. Before joining the private sector, DJ was an AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopter pilot in the United States Marine Corps, where he led over 200 combat missions across three combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. DJ earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with distinction, in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and holds an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business where he graduated with honors.

When DJ isn’t helping companies smash cyber threats, he’s dreaming of flying, fishing, and being outside in Bozeman with his wife and twin daughters.

Mike keeps Pathfynder's train running and Artie well trained.

BRAD PALM | VP, Services & Technology
Dad-venture-preneur. Rides all the boards. Hunter.

Brad is Pathfynder's tech geek and delivery dude.

Before Pathfynder, Brad worked as a SecDevOps strategist and threat hunter for his boutique consulting firm, BruteForce. Prior to life as a civilian, Brad spent 10 years in the Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer, with visits to sandy places but no oceans, and then continued as a Data Systems Specialist. Brad earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of St. Thomas and holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School and has certifications with numerous acronyms from various accreditation bodies.

When Brad isn't cooking things in the lab for Pathfynder, he is spending time free-ranging his kids in the Montana playgrounds. He can be found frequenting local skate parks, climbing uphill to find back-country powder stashes, visiting distant beach breaks, and coaxing his kids to follow him on epic adventures.

BRYAN CLEMENTS | Senior Director, Cyber Operations
Operator. Hacker. Threat hunter.
Prior to joining Pathfynder, Bryan worked in the U.S. Intelligence Community supporting mission critical cyber operations. After nearly 20 years supporting the U.S Government, Bryan observed a growing gap between the capabilities of cyber adversaries and blue team defenders. In an effort to close that gap, Bryan transitioned to the private sector to conduct Red/Purple team assessments against organizations ranging from midsize to Fortune 100 focused on securing networks from attack and educating defenders. Bryan supported Fortune 100 organizations maturation of their Insider Threat capability through the development of cyber analytics and playbooks.

When Bryan isn’t performing Red/Purple teams or hunting insider threats he is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan who never misses a game. When he isn’t researching new tools or techniques, he can often be found around the softball field or hiking the mountains of Colorado.

Steve Rovelstad | Senior Director, DFIR
Avid traveler. Amateur photographer. Fitness enthusiast.

Steve is Pathfynder's uber fixer and "in the weeds" incident response dude.

Prior to joining Pathfynder Steve served as Senior Cyber Security Consultant, Investigative Response at a global
telecommunications company. Steve joins the team with deep expertise in leading corporate breach investigations, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, threat intelligence collection,  cybersecurity training, and team management.  Prior to joining the private sector, he served in the United States Army’s cyber and intelligence communities.

When Steve isn’t diving deep to help companies mitigate damage from cyber security incidents, he adds to Pathfynder’s deep bench of flannel and beard aficionados. While he has a passion for the mountains and outdoors, his heart remains connected to his original island home in Hawaii where he enjoys spending time with his family around the beaches and ocean waters off of Maui.

JUSTIN JACKSON | Director, Revenue Ops
Sometimes marketer. Aspiring analytics nerd. Donut lover.

Justin is Pathfynder's 'marketing guru' and 'sales enablement guy.'

Before Pathfynder, Justin worked as an analytics consultant for several Fortune 100 companies. Justin also served as a Marine Corps AH-1W Super Cobra pilot, accruing over 1100 combat flight hours across four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Justin is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, holds an MBA from Rice University, and a Masters in Business Analytics from Wake Forest University.

When Justin isn't spreading the word about Pathfynder, he is spending time in the mountains or watching college football (and talking A LOT about it). He is a dog father to two ferocious mini-dachshunds and has a passion for learning new things.
